Star Trek: Enterprise (originally titled Enterprise until Season 3) is the fifth live-action TV series set in the Star Trek universe and the sixth in total. Created by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, and based upon Gene Roddenberry’s classic 1966 Star Trek (and its subsequent spin-offs), Enterprise was a “prequel”, set a century before the time of Kirk and Spock. The series followed the voyages of the first starship Enterprise and mankind’s first steps into the “final frontier”. Initially titled as simply Enterprise, the series ran an abbreviated four seasons.

The Big Bang Theory is a comedy series about four young scientists who know all about the world of physics, and one girl, who gives the physics world a real spin. Leonard Hofstadter is a smart guy who tries his best to complete his research and become famous for his work while also attempting to be the most socially-interacting guy in their friend group. Sheldon Cooper is one of the world’s smartest men with an intellectual capacity through the roof and a language with scientific words normal people only have one comment to (“What?”). Though it’s never been said by himself, all signs throughout the show point to him having the Asperger Syndrome, making him the smartest, but also least social, group member.
The series begins in 52 BC, as Gaius Julius Caesar completes his conquest of Gaul after eight years of war, and prepares to return with his army to Rome. While Caesar’s self-interested niece Atia and long-lost paramour Servilia anxiously await the general’s return, ruling patricians despair that Caesar’s homecoming will disrupt the status quo, and threaten the extravagant prosperity they’ve enjoyed at the expense of the lower class. In the Senate, old-guard leaders plot to undermine Caesar’s influence by convincing his old friend, Pompey Magnus, that the general is a threat. Back at the front, two mismatched soldiers, Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, see their fortunes rise following several serendipitous missions. As Caesars legions move closer to Rome, allegiances are put to the test for soldiers and civilians – and the escalating tensions climax with a full-scale conflict destined to change history.
In Firefly, a highly underrated science fiction/western hybrid, Joss Whedon manages to create an interesting, thrilling, and often deep, series packaged with bold statements, character depth, compelling plots and typical Whedonesque wit. Firefly is set five hundred years in the future, within a solar system controlled by the central government, The Alliance. Captain Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion), who was involved in the war against The Alliance, leads the crew of his firefly-class ship, Serenity, on a journey with no destination. Always moving and trying their best to steer clear of The Alliance, Mal and his team do all that they can to survive, picking up passengers and often taking on shady jobs from even shadier people.
